Vision and Values

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, we welcome you into our loving, learning community. This is a place that nurtures everyone with the wisdom and resilience to face all that life brings.  Each and every person has the opportunity to flourish here and achieve their God-given potential.

Our vision and values are linked through our School Story of the Good Samaritan.  This story was chosen by the children to encompass the way in which we support each other in our school and in our community.

Like the Good Samaritan in the Bible, we at St Michael’s CEP, staff, governors and children, believe in opening our hearts and minds to the needs of others through using the God-given treasures of wisdom, courage and love.

Each of our values are represented by a goose, named by the children:

  • Winston Wisdom

  • Colin Courage and

  • Lara Love

As we aim to do in school, Geese support one another in flight.  They honk their support to keep up morale.  If one of the team is injured, two will fly to the ground to look after the injured goose until it is recovered and the three will then fly back to their flock together.
